Blog
Welcome to the new HilaPlitmann.com
I am finally joining the age of the machine and am here to share my singing, music and thoughts with you.
I hope you might enjoy what you see and hear, and perhaps even find in it some meaning…In the words of the great 20th Century philosopher Aaron Copland: “The whole problem can be stated quite simply by asking, Is there a meaning to music?” My answer would be, “Yes.” And “Can you state in so many words what the meaning is?” My answer to that would be, “No.” Heh.
Please take note that my blog, along with all of your wonderful comments, have permanently moved to this site.
And finally, in the words of a great 21st Century awesome dude I know: WOO HOO!!!!

Hila-chan! I love your new site! (And it has pink shades too :P) I am performing Five Hebrew Love Songs for school this fall, you’ve inspired me to sing this song with so much passion :)

Welcome to a new world. Your vibrance shines both in your profession and your life. Thank you for sharing with us. It enriches our lives. You have a glorious God-given talent that few can touch. Love your new site. And….I wonder who the WOO HOO comes from….ah, the other great talent in the household, Eric. Have a wonderful concert at Union Chapel. Sure wish I could be in London for that one. I have friends there who I am going to encourage to go. God bless.

Great looking website! As far as the meaning of music… here’s a link to the best article I’ve read on the meaning of music.

Hila You are awesome. Is there a chance to hear you in Germany?
Vicki Walch on September 15, 2011 at 5:48 pm
I heard you at the Barbican in October 2010. The entire concert was enchanting. My daughter is a spinto coloratura and she had the privilege to sing under your husband’s direction several years ago in Los Angeles. The similarities of your voices make me enjoy your talent all the more. I will enjoy following your career. Brava!

Hila-
You are truly amazing. I am so glad you now have a site much like your husbands. It is wonderful! Looking forward to seeing more of what you do in the future. Might you be able to upload a video of yourself performing in Paradise Lost? Best Wishes to you and your family in London!
Sincerely,
Jon Fisher

Love your new site….it’s awesomely pinkish! Love your music too! I wish it would be announced that you would be in the concert at Carnegie Hall April 1, 2012. Surely you must know SOMEONE that could make that happen…. : )

Hila! So great for you to finally have your own space on the web! Looking forward to keeping up with your beautiful, etherial voice more than just through your husband’s posts. Strip Me has such a great melodic line, so beautiful and mysterious. Can’t wait for more. Welcome!
